Qovia COO to Participate in Two Security Panels at Internet Telephony® Conference & Expo
Steve Mank to Discuss Network Intrusion’s Impact on Enterprise IP Telephony QoS

Specifically, Mr. Mank will discuss network intrusion’s impact on enterprise IP telephony Quality of Service (QoS).

The first panel, “Back to School with VoIP Security,” will be moderated by Barry Marks of IntelliCom Analytics and take place from 8:30-9:15 a.m. In addition to Mr. Mank of Qovia, the session will include representatives from NetClarity, pbxnsip, and Ranch Networks. The group will address what is required for a robust, secure IP telephony network. It will also provide answers to questions such as what does an enterprise need to be aware of before rolling out a converged network? And how can an enterprise protect itself against the growing number of vulnerabilities that may attack the VoIP infrastructure?
The second panel, “Challenges of Enterprise VoIP Security,” will be moderated by Jonathan Zar of VOIPSA and take place from 12:15-1:00 p.m. In addition to Mr. Mank of Qovia, this session will include representatives from Broadwing Communications, NetIQ, Nortel and Ranch Networks. The goal of this panel is to help enterprises prevent, detect, and react to security problems in an efficient manner. The participants will help attendees see beyond traditional security tactics and understand the importance of safeguarding the entire network, especially in the new vulnerable area of VoIP.
