Qovia, Inc., Receives INTERNET TELEPHONY® Magazine's "Product of the Year" Award for 2004

Qovia® 3000 Honored for Outstanding Innovation

Frederick, MD January 10, 2005 — Qovia, Inc., the technology and marketshare leader in enterprise voice over IP (VoIP) monitoring and management products, announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®)’s INTERNET TELEPHONY® magazine (www.itmag.com) has named the Qovia® 3000 network probe as a recipient of a 2004 Product of the Year Award. This is the second straight year Qovia has received the honor. INTERNET TELEPHONY has been the VoIP Authority Since 1998™.

Qovia offers the only suite of products designed-from-the-ground-up for monitoring and managing the voice portion of IP networks to ensure call quality and network reliability. The Qovia 3000 makes it faster, easier and less expensive to deploy the management software necessary in today’s increasingly large and complex VoIP networks. Linux-based and built on the Intel® IXP425 network processor, the Qovia 3000 interfaces directly with the VoIP network infrastructure and serves as a platform for Qovia’s VoIP Monitoring and Management System (VMMS) software.

“VoIP networks don’t run themselves,” said Eric Bear, VP of Product Management at Qovia. “The Qovia® 3000 network probe, combined with Qovia® Service Manager and Qovia® VMMS Software Modules, provide users with the right tools to ensure that their VoIP phone systems run flawlessly.   Being named INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine Product of the Year again in 2004 validates our efforts and shows our customers that they have made the right choice by relying on Qovia.”

“Each year, INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Qovia has demonstrated to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that its products and services are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY.

In 2003, the Qovia® Ion appliance, a forerunner to the Qovia® 3000 and key hardware component of Qovia VMMS, was also named a Product of the Year by INTERNET TELEPHONY.

The Product of the Year Award winners for 2004 will be published in the January 2005 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
