GSA Kansas City Connects with Qovia to Bolster Efficiency of Cisco VoIP Network

Qovia IP Telephony Manager Enables Regional Federal Agency to Ensure its Enterprise Internet Phone System Operates at Peak Performance

FREDERICK, MD November 14, 2005— Qovia, Inc., the technology and market leader in enterprise IP telephony management , today announced that the General Services Administration in Kansas City, Mo., (GSA Kansas City) has selected the Qovia™ IP Telephony Manager to enhance the performance of its Cisco VoIP network. Implemented in September 2005, the Qovia IP Telephony Manager provides GSA Kansas City real-time live call quality management, troubleshooting and performance reporting .

In May 2002, GSA Kansas City installed a Cisco VoIP network that consists of two Cisco CallManager™ servers, more than 20 Cisco switches and 350 Cisco phones. Ensuring that the Internet telephone system operates at peak performance is vital to GSA Kansas City’s ability to help federal agencies better serve the public. The agency chose Qovia to streamline the management of the network.

The Qovia IP Telephony Manager has resulted in saving time and money through reduced administration and by eliminating the need to manually manage voice quality and network reliability. Qovia automatically notifies the network team of anomalies as they happen, enabling administrators to connect with Cisco about the problems and quickly resolve the issues from a central location.

“Qovia enhances the performance of Cisco IP telephony networks,” said David Woodall, CEO of Qovia. “The Qovia IP Telephony Manager, which has been certified by Cisco for guaranteed compatibility, is an ideal complement to Cisco CallManager. By providing real-time live call quality analysis, Qovia helps customers such as GSA Kansas City increase user satisfaction and organizational productivity by identifying and troubleshooting problems before they occur.”
