The founder of bytes & words, Mollie R. McCormick is a manager, editor, and wordsmith skilled at “finding the voice” of whatever person or company she works with to create compelling content. From this creative foundation, Mollie applies her skills with current and emerging technologies to program or design engaging solutions that attend to every detail, through websites, social media, email marketing or training projects.
Mollie brings to bytes & words over 26 years of experience based in editorial/production and multimedia training environments and marketing for small/medium businesses and nonprofits. She has been a Gold-Level Solution Provider for Constant Contact since 2007, and was among the first to complete their 2013 training program to become a Constant Contact Accredited Solution Provider. Under her direction, bytes & words has won four Constant Contact All-Star Awards for excellence, in the 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 marketing years. Mollie is a member of the the E-Learning Guild and the Maryland Chapter for the American Society for Training & Development. She is working toward a Master’s Certificate in Distance Education through UMBC’s Instructional Systems Design Program.
When not learning or helping folks make sense of their assets, Mollie enjoys family, camping, kayaking, horses, rails to trails biking, and soaking up the sun with a good book.
Art Director of bytes & words, Joseph P. McCormick is a creative force that works with color, photography, illustration, and a designer’s trained eye to breathe life into all visual aspects of our projects. Joseph carefully balances creativity with affordability while considering the potential effect of design and delivery on the target audience. Through the years, he has designed lasting high-impact brands for many professional services firms and nonprofits and modified others into eye-catching designs for websites, letterhead and business collateral, brochures, email news templates, social media, and exhibits.
Joseph contributes a professional eye for design to every project, thanks to his 27+ years’ experience with advertising agencies, exhibit design, multimedia, and print production for small to large corporations, retail, start-ups and nonprofits. He maintains active relationships with all manner of print providers, delivering the most economical and best-quality result for each job. Joseph was trained in Fine Arts and Illustration; his work has been exhibited in Philadelphia and the Baltimore-Annapolis area. A main of great faith, he is slowly pursuing a career in geriatric nursing, providing him with in-depth knowledge of medicine, biology and anatomy that most of us would rather not think about (but is handy with medical clients).
When not making bytes & words’ clients look great, Joseph enjoys swimming, music, reading, camping and biking, especially with family.
